In the summer of 2024, my twin sister, Natalie, and I launched KINNAMON. We’re thrilled to be following our dreams, even if we never quite imagined we’d end up here! #twinnamon

Our journey started in community college, where neither of us had a clear career direction. But by the end of two years, we were both leaning toward the arts—no surprise given our love for fine arts since middle school. As we explored new areas, we each found ourselves drawn to different specialties.

After earning our associate degrees, we separated for the first time in 20 years: Natalie pursued Graphic Design, while I studied Fashion Design, a lifelong passion of mine. Looking back, it’s amazing how these paths perfectly prepared us for what was ahead.

After graduating, I shared my vision with Natalie for a clothing brand inspired by my senior collection, designed specifically for women with type 1 diabetes—like me! Natalie’s expertise in graphic design and branding was the missing piece. It was clear that combining our skills would make this dream a reality, and together, we created KINNAMON.

And here we are! With our first collection launched and our website live, Natalie and I have embarked on an unexpected journey. Growing up, we never saw ourselves as entrepreneurs—but when you’re encouraged to follow your passions and want the freedom to create on your own terms, I guess that’s exactly where you end up!
