After launching our store, we have gotten a lot of questions about how we came up with the names for each of our styles in our first collection! Well, we are so glad you asked :)
While our brand name is our surname, Natalie and I attribute much of our design and artistic abilities to our maternal relatives. Our grandmother Irene, the family matriarch we never had the chance to know, was a legend in the fine arts. As a designer, seamstress, painter, chef, gardener, and ultimate craftswoman, she passed her talents on to her three daughters, including our mother, Janice.
As Natalie and I grew up– starting with our first sewing project, a skirt we made in second grade, these three women imparted their skills and proficiencies to us whenever we were together! We spent many summers (think the ultimate art camp) with our mom and two aunts, Eliese and Lizzi, designing and sewing clothes, quilts, bags, beading necklaces and jewelry, creating stained glass window hangings, and so much more! Any time spent with an Aunt equated to coming home with a new creation.

Natalie and I both had a disposition for the fine arts since a very young age. Encouraged in school and enriched outside of it, I guess there is no wonder we ended up where we are today!
Hence, we proudly present the Irene Bow Pocket Dress, the Eliese Pleated Romper, the Lizzi Lantern Sleeve Dress, and the Janice Pleated Jumpsuit.
